Wellness Committee Meeting

Posted Date: 10/23/24 (2:54 PM)

Happy Wednesday, Spartans!

To those interested in serving on the Los Olivos School Wellness Committee, we invite you to join us for our first meeting of the 2024-2025 school year.

We would love to have teachers, staff members, parents, students, and community members involved. Meetings will be held on the third Thursday of each month with the exception of school breaks. Time commitments would be for monthly meetings at 45 minutes or less and time for any projects or to do list items for which you have taken ownership.

Please find the attached agenda for tomorrow's meeting. During our first meeting we will be going over and setting goals, concerns, issues and to dos that focus on the student wellness and nutrition, and nutrition education at Los Olivos School.

We'll be meeting in the school library at 1:35 p.m. (following a staff meeting). Since this is the first meeting, it will run a little longer than it normally would. We do have a hard stop at 2:25 p.m. due to another meeting beginning in the library at 2:30 p.m.

Please reach out to brie@losolivosschool.org with questions. If you would like to join, but are unable to attend tomorrow's meeting, please let me know and I will send you a wrap up of the meeting.

Good morning, Spartans!

Due to a facilities scheduling conflict, the first Wellness Committee meeting has been postponed.

Our first meeting will be held on Thursday, November 21st at 1:30 p.m. A reminder will be sent the day prior.

Please let Brie know if you have any questions.

I'm so sorry, I thought I sent out an update a few weeks ago.. Upon further investigation, we learned that the Wellness Committee meeting is only needed during the evaluation of our Wellness Policy every three years. Since we did this last year, we won't be meeting again until 26-27. We do not have a committee meeting tomorrow.

Thank you to those that were going to participate. As always, if you have any questions or concerns regarding student wellness, please reach out to myself or Mr. Vazquez.
